Why is Sleep Important?


According to National Institutes of Health(NIH) U.S.,Getting enough quality sleep at the right times can help protect your mental health, physical health, quality of life, and safety. Sleep plays a vital role in good health and well-being throughout your life. 

Sleep plays an important role in your physical health. For example, sleep is involved in healing and repair of your heart and blood vessels. Ongoing sleep deficiency is linked to an increased risk of heart disease, kidney disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and stroke

Now lets come to the point to discuss about having lot of food before sleeping..
Best practice is to avoid food at least three before we sleep, The reason behind this habit is whatever food we take before bed digests by the time we sleep. So while we sleep our body gets complete rest including our digestion system. This helps us getting deep sleep.

During sleep also our body needs some energy, our body uses existing fats in our body to do its functions to manage without food. This helps us in maintaining good health, reduces the excess fats. 

If you take food and sleep immediately, you do not supply the require amount of water to digest it, it results in constipation. Even if you have lot of water after having food and sleep, it effects and dilutes the acids that releases in your stomach to digest the food and results in heart burn and indigestion.


If you have the habit of sleeping after having dinner.,you may get following deceases:

1)Heart disease,
2)kidney disease,
4)diabetes, 
6)Weight Gain
7)Acid Reflux
8)Constipation

So if  you have the habit of sleeping immediately after having food, please try to plan to complete at least two hours before your bed time.
